Job Overview:
CAVOK provides technical consulting and services to the aviation, rail, and energy sectors. A CAVOK Manager will often relate to one of the sectors but multi-sector experience is a plus. As such, CAVOK provides comprehensive technical advisory support and services that relate to safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations in the sector. The Manager is a subject matter expert with extensive experience in sector operations and infrastructure to include maintenance operations, scheduled and preventive maintenance programs, reliability analysis, regulatory requirements and maintenance/engineering support. Knowledge of industry or cross industry best practices, process evaluation/improvement methodologies, and project management are important competencies as well.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for providing subject matter expertise to clients in all matters related to operations and maintenance management of equipment and infrastructure
- Maintain thorough and consistent client communication and support to ensure high quality deliverables
- Review and interpret regulatory requirements for impact and compliance concerns
- Support clients in coordinating maintenance programs concerns with regulatory authorities
- Conduct analysis to determine effectiveness of routine maintenance tasks
- Develop maintenance program evolution/optimization models based on review and analysis of systems and component discrepancy records, reliability data, delays and cancellation history
- Develop effective and efficient scheduled maintenance programs
- Develop substantiating data for approval of maintenance program evolution/optimization changes
- Develop aircraft transition and maintenance program implementation workplans
- Lead development of job instructions for scheduled maintenance tasks
- Travel nationally and internationally, as required, to support clients
Education and Experience:
- Working knowledge of Maintenance Review Board Report (MRBR) and Maintenance Planning Documents (MPD) documents – required
- Project management experience - preferred
- Experience interacting with regulatory authorities and air carriers – required
- Ability to multi-task in a high energy environment - required
- Bachelor’s degree in related technical field or equivalent work experience – required
- 5+ years of experience developing/operating commercial aviation maintenance programs (Part 135, Part 121, or foreign equivalent) - required
- General knowledge of MSG-3 and reliability centered maintenance principals - required
- Working skills to perform related cost benefit analysis - preferred
- Familiar with maintenance program optimization activities -preferred
- Familiar with airline enterprise resource planning systems (TRAX, AMOS, MXI, SCEPTRE, ULTAMAIN, PMI, RAMCO, etc.) - preferred
- A&P license - preferred
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and Adobe - required
